Performance 2024

Commitment, Challenge and Opportunity
The Company recognizes the impacts of land use, forestry resources, marine resources, and biodiversity on the balance of ecosystems. Accordingly, NOBLE is committed to conducting its business with minimal impact on biodiversity by integrating environmental considerations into business decision-making processes. This approach helps to avoid and mitigate potential risks arising from the Company’s operations.
Biodiversity conservation continues to face challenges such as limited available land, increased resource utilization from project development, the impacts of climate change, and growing pressure from stakeholders demanding higher environmental standards. In response, NOBLE places strong emphasis on investing in environmental technologies and restoration measures, as well as fostering continuous collaboration with government agencies and surrounding communities.
At the same time, conducting business with consideration for biodiversity creates opportunities to strengthen the Company’s reputation as an environmentally and socially responsible organization, enhance stakeholder confidence, and support the development of projects aligned with the principles of the green economy and sustainable development. These initiatives form a critical foundation for NOBLE’s long-term growth.
Management and Operational Approach
Biodiversity Policy as Management Measures
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for projects as required by law.
- Consider and select materials and equipment, particularly construction materials, from legally certified sources to ensure that they do not originate from operations causing negative impacts on biodiversity, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Protect and manage biodiversity by ensuring that no business activities are carried out in areas classified under IUCN Category I–IV.
- Promote awareness among employees and stakeholders regarding the impacts of business operations on biodiversity, and instill a sense of responsibility in employees to actively participate in the Company’s biodiversity-related initiatives.
- Disclose and communicate biodiversity and ecosystem management practices as well as operational measures to stakeholders. In addition, provide clear channels for whistleblowing and grievance reporting to communities and society in cases where business activities may pose risks to ecosystems or biodiversity.
