Commitment, Challenge and Opportunity

The Company places strong emphasis on the efficient and sustainable management of water resources, recognizing water as an essential resource for all stakeholders and for its business operations. NOBLE is committed to adopting water stewardship principles across the entire value chain to ensure responsible water use, minimize environmental impacts, and mitigate risks associated with water scarcity.

However, water management continues to face challenges related to both water quantity and quality, as well as uncertainties caused by climate change, which may impact business operations and surrounding communities. In addition, the Company must continually address the costs of technology and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems, while responding to increasing stakeholder expectations regarding responsible water use standards.

The Company firmly believes that sustainable water management creates opportunities to enhance water use efficiency, reduce operating costs, and strengthen environmental credibility. Key measures include the adoption of water-saving fixtures and appliances, the upgrade of wastewater treatment systems with advanced technologies, and the establishment of clear water usage targets. These efforts not only safeguard water resources for the future but also reinforce NOBLE’s reputation as an organization committed to sustainability.

Management and Operational Approach

Water Resource Management Guidelines in Office Buildings

  • Efficient Water Use: Promote water conservation across all areas, including restrooms, kitchens, and cleaning facilities.
  • Communication and Incident Reporting: Develop awareness campaigns highlighting the impacts of excessive water use and provide a LINE@ channel for convenient and timely reporting of water leakage incidents.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct weekly inspections of plumbing systems, sanitary ware, and related equipment to prevent leaks and enhance water use efficiency.

Water Resource Management Guidelines in Construction Projects

  • Water-Saving Equipment and Materials: Utilize water-efficient devices and products, as well as high-quality, standardized piping systems to prevent leaks and unnecessary water loss.
  • Awareness for Construction Workers: Organize awareness activities and provide public announcements at construction sites to encourage water conservation among workers and stakeholders.
  • Backup Water Management: Ensure sufficient water storage tanks are available at both construction sites and worker accommodations to secure continuous water supply in case of emergencies.
  • Water Quality Control and Drainage Systems:
    • Install drainage pipes and sedimentation pits before discharging water into public systems.
    • Clean construction sites and project entrances/exits on a daily basis to prevent the accumulation of soil and construction debris that may obstruct water flow.
